cos260 = (cos 60°)2 = (1/2)2 = 1/4
= 4(1) - 4 + (3/4) + (1/4)
= 4 - 4 + (3+1)/4
= 4/4 = 1

Evaluate sin 30°cos 60° + cos 30° sin 60°.
Solution :
sin 30° = 1/2
cos 60° = 1/2
cos 30° = √3/2
sin 60° = √3/2
= (1/2) (1/2) + (√3/2)(√3/2)
= (1/4) + (3/4)
= (1 + 3)/4
= 4/4
= 1
